Q Who owns the domain name?
You as the customer own the domain name. If at any time you wish to cancel your agreement with us you are at liberty to transfer your domain name to any other hosting company. Your new hosting company may make a charge for transferring in the name.
Q What if we cannot agree on the web design?
In the extremely unlikely event that we cannot meet your requirements on a design of your site you can cancel your order at any time, without incurring any cost. Should you wish to retain a domain name that we have registered for you we will charge the cost of the domain name registration plus a small administration fee before releasing the name. (Total cost approximately £ 10.00)
Q What will be the renewal costs after the first year?
The cost will be the same as the first year, we will never raise the costs that you pay as long as you continue to host with us at the same level of service. Therefore if you are hosting at
£ 5.00 per month when we first design your site you will pay hosting at £ 5.00 per month for as long as you host with us. Obviously if you increase the size of the site the charges will increase at our currently quoted cost for additional pages.
We will invoice you for a further 12 months hosting/maintenance during month 11 of our agreement.
Q Are there any additional charges?
The only additional cost is the re registration of your domain name. Currently .co.uk names are registered for 2 years. The first 2 years are included within the design cost. Subsequent 2 yearly charges will be charged separately and must be paid prior to the expiry. This charge is made by Nominet who are the controllers of all .co.uk domain names.
Q What if I want to cancel the contract?
You can cancel your agreement with us at any time and transfer your domain to another hosting company. We do not refund part years fees so we recommend you do this at renewal time.
Q I have advertising on my site, but no longer wish to have it. What do I do?
Just let us know and we will calculate the additional cost for the remainder of the charging period and send you an invoice. Once this is paid we will remove the adverts.
Q I do not have adverts, but would like them. What do I do?
Just let us know. We will add the adverts and calculate your credit for the remainder of the charging period. We will then credit this amount to your following years charges.
Q Who owns the copyright for the site?
You as the customer own the overall copyright for the site. The original copyright owner of any images still owns the copyright for these images. Any image produced by us remains our property, we grant a license to you to use these images on your web site only even if you choose not to host with us in the future. It is important that any images you provide us with are your copyright and you are not breaching any other parties copyright.
